We’re committed to making sure that diversity, fairness and inclusivity are part of everything we do. We believe that having a workforce that’s diverse and inclusive doesn’t just lead to more creative ideas, but also helps us better understand and meet the needs of our brokers and clients.

To create a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected, we actively look for a variety of people to join our team and give them ongoing training about understanding different cultures. We encourage our team to share their own experiences, along with teaming up with organisations that promote fairness and inclusion.

Community and Culture

We have a supportive, forward thinking and high achieving culture that empowers people to achieve their goals and support the wider community. We partner with SANE to help raise awareness and understanding of mental health conditions and give all employees time off to take part in local volunteering and charitable efforts that can really make a difference in our communities.

Environment

We know that our businesses have an impact on the environment. As we grow, it’s important that we continue to develop our commitments and become more active in the climate conversation. As Lloyd’s syndicates, we are fully aligned with Lloyd’s’ ESG guidance.

IQUW does not insure thermal coal mines, thermal coal-fired power plants, oil sands or any new Arctic energy exploration activities and, as the largest motor insurer at Lloyd’s, ERS is well placed to support the transition to electric vehicles, which is reflected in our policy wordings.
